N5110 touchpad problem

I have a 2 month old N5110, and the touchpad is very unreliable - sometimes I have to try numerous times to move the cursor to where I want it, and on other occasions it works correctly. When I use an external mouse there is no problem. Any solutions, or should I return it to the supplier ? Thanks - John

Mine does the exact same thing. Very annoying, especially when I am in the middle of a big project.

Hi , I am also experiencing exactly the same symptoms.... fine with an external mouse - most of the time fine with the touchpad, then suddenly the touchpad goes non-responsive. I see that no one from Dell has bothered responding - I guess I'll have to go through my distributor and make some noise.....
