Power on problems [Latitude D620]

Hi, never had a problem before now.

On pressing the power on button, all LED locks light up for approx' 3-4 scds before going out. I have tried the remedies suggested e.g. battery out, powering up *** AC etc to no avail. All battery LED's light up on pressing the button.

Any help appreciated

Thanks, David

Hi David,

When did the issue start? Were there any bluescreens/system crashes before the issue started?
Is there any damage / liquid spillage on the system?

http://dell.to/1jgNevf- download the service manual and remove the RAM modules and check if the system beeps. Reseat each RAM module and check for functionality.

If the system still behaves the same way after you have removed the memory modules and checked, then the motherboard might be suspected faulty and needs to be replaced.

We can generate a quote for a paid service call if required. Then send me a private message with the service tag and your contact details.

If you wish to replace the parts yourself, then contact - http://www.parts-people.com/
and order the parts through them.
