Should I replace LCD?

I have an XPS M1330 and the backlight keeps dropping out on it. I can still vaguely see the image there so I'm pretty sure it's the backlight giving the trouble. Are there any pieces that I should replace or should I just go ahead and order a new LCD? I was wanting to find out the cheapest solution without dropping $100 on an lcd. Thanks

Hi chisam14,

I request you to try using an external monitor and check if the same issue happens. If it works fine then the LCD screen has failed and needs to be replaced.

You may call the out of warranty team on 18002884410 if the computer is out of warranty and belongs to US region.
