Speakers die

When I connect my SE2416H monitor to my Inspiron 15, my Logitech 200 speakers do not function.

Hello. If you are connecting the monitor to the laptop using an HDMI cable, then audio is probably trying to go out through HDMI. If so, the laptop's speakers and audio output jack will not function -- can't have HDMI audio and the regular audio both at the same time.

To resolve, go to the Sound properties and make Speakers the default device (on the Playback tab)..
