Studio 1555 - Adjusting contrast

I've got a Studio 1555 and I'm unable to find out how to change the contrast. I know how to change the brightness, but it's just contrast I need. I've checked the manual guide and technical manual and haven't found the information there. They refer to each other and then the monitor guide of which I can't find. I'm sure it's a simple solution,  but relatively frustrating. I've got Windows 7. Can anyone help? Anybody had a similar problem?

Re: Studio 1555 - Adjusting contrast

Hi Steparry16,

There are no settings to change the contrast for any laptop. You can only change the brightness settings for laptops. However, I would like to inform you that Windows 7 has certain High Contrast themes; you can try these themes and see if they help.

To change the display contrast in Windows 7:

  • Choose Start, Control Panel.
  • In the Control Panel, choose Appearance and Personalization.
  • On the next screen, click on the link “Change the theme” (under Personalization).
  • Scroll down and select a theme in the Basic and High Contrast category.

To change back to the normal view for Windows 7, select one of the Aero or Basic themes in the Personalization window.

Do write back for further help.

Thanks & Regards,
