Support "Drivers and downloads"
I'm confused about Dell Support "Drivers and downloads".
First question - When I select "Guide me" I'm told "No driver updates found. Your system has the most recent updates"
But when I select "Find it myself" I'm shown a lengthy list of Applications (5 files), Drivers (16 files), Firmware (1 file) and Bios (1 file), some of which I cannot confirm as being installed on my computer. More specifically, the Intel Rapid Storage Tech Driver & Mgmt Console driver on the "Find it myself" list is v 15.2.2.103,A02 with a release date of 20Feb2017 but the one installed on my computer shows a date of 4/25/16. IF THE NEW DRIVER IS "URGENT" WHY ISN'T THE DELL UPDATE APP ON MY COMPUTER DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING THE NEWER RELEASE (20Feb2017) OF THE INTEL RAPID STORAGE DRIVER, AND OTHER NEWER DRIVERS?
Second question - The "Drivers & downloads" page says install the drivers in this order: BIOS, Drivers, Firmware, and applications. But when I view the "Find it myself" by "Installation order" the list shows Applications first, Drivers second, firmware third and BIOS last. WHAT IS THE CORRECT ORDER FOR INSTALLING THE DOWNLOADS?

First - Please list system model number and version of windows. Ex: Dell Inspiron 3543, windows 10. If you don't know, type msinfo32 onto the search box, you should see the system information. Look for the BIOS version in the system information as well, see image below:

The computer is an Inspiron 13 5368 and the OS is Windows 10.
My question does not concern the BIOS. The best example of the issue is as I described in my original posting is the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver and Management Console that on the computer shows a date of 4/25/16 but on the update list shows a release date of 20 February 2017 and last update date of 5 April 2017. The question again is why isn't Dell Update downloading and installing the 2017 version which on the update list is shown as "URGENT"?

No apparent problems but I had recently that one should be sure all their drivers are up-to-date before the next Windows 10 update which I believe is the Creators Edition.

Just in case you don't know what is the Intel Rapid Storage Technology, please type Intel Rapid Storage Technology onto search box, you should see a image like the one pictured below. I also suggest clicking on Help, About and then check latest version.

I'd disregard the "Last Updated" on the Dell Product Support page because it's very confusing. Pease keep in mind, Last Update doesn't means Dell just release a new driver on that date. Further, I'd trust Microsoft (windows updates) to know if a driver needs updating. However, you can update/check the driver in Device manager.

Lastly.....
I'd suggest you install Intel Driver Update free utility to check all Intel devices on the system.

Please type Device Manager onto [Cortana] search box, stroll down to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers and then expand it. Right click driver and then update it. You could click on "Properties" to check the driver version, see image below:
