System Restore

Hi,

I want to restore factory settings for my Dell Inspiron 1525.

- Is there any way to backup my data in C drive, My documents , Desktop in D recovery drive? Or only way to backup my data is to keep it in some external drive?

- Drivers will be self installed after restore or I have do it manually (as I have lost my drivers CD)?

- Restore can be done by pressing Ctrl + F11 at boot time ..right?

Thanks!

Hi,

Welcome to the Community. You will need to back them up using an external drive. If you do a factory restore, then all the drivers are already installed, so whatever came installed on your computer will show up.

Below are the links on how to restore your computer.

XP : support.dell.com/.../document

Vista or 7 : support.dell.com/.../document

Hope this helps.

Thank you

Royan

If you have a larger external HDD, you can copy and paste all the files you want to backup from your c or d drive.
