Upgrade information
Hi guys, (and gals I suppose!!)
I have a Q17R Inspiron (N7110) with an i3-2350M CPU and the NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M GPU card. The only upgrade I have done is more RAM memory (8 GB) and that's it. I would like to know if I could upgrade the CPU and GPU of my machine, and with what hardware. Model names please. What is the best I can install on this laptop? Can I put an i7? Or a 2GB graphics card? I really like this laptop and just want to max it out, now that the money is availiable. Thanx:)

Hi,
Welcome to the Community. I am afraid you will not be able to upgrade the processor and the video card on the laptop. First the motherboard needs to be replaced, then you can upgrade the processor and video card, which is a very expensive upgrade. You can upgrade only the memory, hard drive, and a few wireless cards on a laptop.
