XPS M1530...amount of ram it can handle?....
hi everyone, I just wanted to ask if the XPS M1530 can handle 6 GB or even 8 GB of ram.....co'z I'm plannin to use 6 GB (2 dimm) for my XPS M1530

I know there was an older thread somewhere, sorry I can't find it in this new Forum format, that says you can install 6GB of ram. Make sure you have the latest Bios for the M1530, which is A12. I haven't read anywhere on 8GB but if I run across anything, I'll post a reply here.

It can certainly support 6GB RAM at least - as the forum member who started this Notebook Review forums thread can testify to... because they've successfully upgraded theirs to 6GB
You just need to get yourself a 4GB module of SO-DIMM, and you're set!
The one recommended by that forum member would be as good as any, since it's known to be compatible, and G.Skill is good RAM (I use it myself in one of my desktop gaming rigs) :emotion-5:
