inspiron n 4050 does not power on

Hi amnadaf,

Please follow the below mentioned steps to isolate the problem:

1. Remove all the external peripherals, the power cable and battery from the laptop, press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. This process will drain all the static energy from the computer.
2. Power on the laptop with only the battery plugged in, restart the system and check. Remove the battery connects only the Ac adapter power cable, restart the system and check. This is to check if it is a problem with battery or AC adapter.
3. If the laptop is not powering on with the battery removed or the AC-Adapter removed, the problem is with the Power button which needs to be replaced.
