touchpad settings missing

Hello.  I'm trying to adjust my touchpad BUT when I go to control panel/mouse, the touchpad tab is missing.  The only tabs that come up are buttons, pointers, pointer options, wheels & hardware.  I don't know where the touchpad tab went!

Thanks

Welcome to the forums :emotion-21:

When asking for advice, it's important you provide the model of system you have, and the OS you're using :emotion-55:

You need to reinstall the touchpad drivers, for the touchpad tab to show.

Get them from the 'Drivers & Downloads' page for your particular system, on the Dell website.

Click the 'Drivers & Downloads' link at the bottom of this (/every) page, then either enter your service tag number, or select your system using the various options.

The touchpad drivers are listed under 'Input Devices', and... once installed... you should have a 'Dell Touchpad' tab in Control Panel --> Mouse?

Windows XP SP3

Touch Pad tab also missing. I tried to download the suggested driver and it wouldn't download. What do I do now?
