xps m1210 battery not recognized
I have a xps m1210 duel core media edition
a while ago i had to replace the cpu fan, not an issue it was pretty simple but when I was done the system clock would not keep time,
ok it's an annoying but I could live with it.
Then I got a nasty virus and had to reformat the hard drive just to get things working again, again annoying but livable, since I backed up all data
before I changed the cpu fan just in case.
I got things back up and running now with better anti-vir, and the other day the a/c charge light turned orange and the system couldn't tell I had
a battery in. It works fine on the ac cord but when I put the battery in the touch pad is very erratic and the keyboard doesn't work well at all, you have
to really hit the keys. If I plug a usb mouse in it works fine but the key board is still messed up.
I have tried to update bios, currently running A04 but it says ac and battery must be plugged in to flash bios.
Any ideas, I'm getting a little frustrated with this thing.
