Adding new disks to a Windows 2008 /Cluster Enabler 3.1 Cluster

What is the best procedure for adding new (Symmetrix SRDF) disk volumes to a production Windows 2008 - Cluster Enabler 3.1 active/passive two site cluster.

Ideally with no or minimal downtime to the two cluster hosts and existing clusterted applications.

Ian,

Please look at page 98 of the Product Guide. http://powerlink.emc.com/km/live1/en_US/Offering_Technical/Technical_Documentation/300-007-909.pdf

Use the "Modify Group Wizard"

Rgds,

Edwin.

Use the "cluster" command line on the WIndows cluster nodes. Such as:

Add the disk to the cluster

C:\>cluster res "Disk Z:" /create /type:"Physical Disk" /group:"Available Storage"

Then:

C:\>cluster res "Disk Z:" /priv DiskPath="Z:"

Then you can modify the cluster group as per last post.
