Inspiron 24-3455, Driver Restore

Last year the Toshiba HDD that came with my PC bit the dust.  I replaced the drive and reinstalled Windows 10 and loaded the drivers.  I noticed months later that my built in memory card reader does not work.  Upon researching, it appears that the chipset driver controls that function.  Device manager shows "Standard SATA AHCI COntroller" for my chipset.

I tried manually installed the chipset driver again and same result.  I tried performing a driver restore will Dell Command (Versions 2.4.0 and 3.0.1) and it says my system is not supported.  I have the lastest BIOS installed and the most recent Windows 10 updates.

Any thoughts?

DELL COMMAND UPDATE 3.0 is not compatible with windows 10.   Dell Command Update 4.0 and higher require windows 10 WMI-ACPI bios.  There is support for Dell command 4.0 but its not free.

The AMD driver I linked is for windows 10  64 bit and the following models.

Inspiron 3265
Inspiron 3455
Vostro 3055

Dell command is for Optiplex, Precision, XPS systems

Dell Command | Update requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 (or later) to be installed on the system.

INTEL RST is the WRONG Chipset.

The issue is AMD Chipset. The other issue is secure boot WINDOWS 8.x certificates DO NOT WORK in 10.  SECURE BOOT MUST BE OFF.

Thank you for the response.  The driver Dell recommended for my servicetag is an AMD driver.  I tried the driver you linked to:  installed it and rebooted.  No change in device manager with the chipset.  I also extracted the chipset installation and tried to point to that directory to look for the driver.  No luck.

Also, I would like Dell Command Update to work on my system.  I feel if I can get that working my problems would hopefully be resolved.

Exactly which version of Win 10 did you install when you replaced the HDD? The latest version is Fall'18 Update, build 1809 (very soon to be replaced with Spring'19 Update, build1903). Do you have some earlier version?

There's a Win 10 AMD Chipset driver dated 27-Dec 2018 for the Inspiron 3455. Is that the driver you tried to install?

Yes, that is the first one I tried.  Then I tried the one Speedstep suggested.  I turned secure boot off.  Dell command update still will not work.

On Dell command update 3.0 I get "Operation ended with exception: Advanced Driver Restore: System not supported."

On DCU 2.4.0 I get "This application does not currently support your system model."

Window version is 1803.

That was the issue!  I was installed Dell Command Update instead of Dell Update.  ::facepalm::  I did not realize there were that many versions!

You rock!!
