Inspiron 3670, Video card, upgrade recommendation
I recently purchased an Inspiron 3670 and installed a EVGA 1GB GeForce 8400 GPU (model 01G-P3-1302-LR). Ran some benchmark tests and found it runs worse than the on-board video.
Does anyone have any recommendations to replace this GPU? Not really a gamer but am just using it to run dual monitors and not have to use resources from on-board video.

You would need to upgrade your power supply to run most other video cards. I have the same computer you have and have dual monitors hooked up to the on-board video, both monitors work fine.....but I do have a problem with the monitor that is hooked up via HDMI. It keeps making the disconnecting/reconnecting sound after the computer has been idle about 15 minutes. Haven't found a fix for it yet.

There are Short versions of cards that fit as well as PROPRIETARY power supply.

Dell OEM full height but short PCI-E video cards work.
Non Dell cards require Secure Boot OFF and Legacy Option Roms on.

Thanks for your information on this. When you say that the PSU is "proprietary" do you mean just in size/fit for the 3670 case, or do you mean in some other way? Would there be a reason I could not add a larger capacity PSU if I were willing to modify the case? Trying to determine if I can run a GTX 1660ti in a 3670 with a PSU larger than the suggested 365W. Thanks!

I think I will get a 850 and mount it on the side put a amd 570 in it. It something to play around with.

Proprietary in ALL respects. Standard EPS12v unit does not fit and the fan is blocked.
Some have cut holes in the case and used standard anyway.
The 24 pin connector needs voltage converter and 8 pin.
