Inspiron 530, USB Drive, Windows 10 install
I have created a working Windows 10 installation media on a USB flash drive, but plugging it into the computer and attempting to boot it says "No Boot Devices Found". The USB Flash Drive is formatted as such:
-16GB
-MBR (also tried GPT)
-FAT32 (also tried NTFS)
It works fine on my new PC, but I am trying to revive this old one for use with my second monitor (using synergy). Help would be appreciated.
EDIT: Solved, had to use NTFS instead of FAT32

One thing you should be aware of-- you should not install windows 10 on this 13 yr old windows XP/Vista computer. There are no drivers for windows 10 (or even 7 or 8) and you will not be able to run it on such old hardware. It costs $100 to buy a license for 10 and that would be a waste of money. No more free upgrades. Use your original windows until you can replace the computer.

I had bought this on Vista, then upgraded it to Win 7 followed by a free MS upgrade to Win 10, and has been working flawlessly. I had ofcourse also upgraded Power Supply, and Graphics card. To this day been working fine, no slowdown or any issues.
Only reason I am searching the Internet is because lately an update or something cause the USB drivers to not load up at startup, making the USB keyboard and mouse dead. Only way I had been able to get in is via Remote Desktop to enable the USB drivers, after which all is back to normal again until next boot.
If anyone knows a solution to that would be great.

Clean install from DVD should resolve that.
You will not need to enter a key if you have been offline for no more than 180 days.
After that you will need to install with the "i DONT HAVE A KEY" option and then change the key to the windows 7 COA key.
There are no issues with a machine being 10 years or more old.
Install works fine and drivers can be VISTA WDDM 1.0 drivers and still work fine.

Burning DVD does not work.
Actual OEM system builder DVD works fine every time.
There are region code and firmware issues with some older drives.

Which is why I recommend SPECIFIC USB 2.0 drive for reinstall on ANY dell from 2006 to 2019.

Hi
w10 works perfctly well on this device even the 21H2, with a ssd drive, no additional driver to install

the only default it's noisy
