Inspiron 560, Boot Device not found
Hello,
I have a Dell Inspiron 560 and I'm having one heck of a time trying to load the operating system. For starters, the system has A06 BIOS. Second, I have wiped the HDD & SSD. Third, when I chose the DVD player as the bootable device, All I get is a curser and blank screen. This happens when I have the HDD connected. When I have just the SSD connected, I get, "Boot device not found, press enter to continue." Both hard drives have been formatted to primary drives. The DVD player is from a working computer. It worked prior to this debacle.
I have reset the BIOS, set the sata to AHCI and still nothing. It's like the BIOS just died. The clock and date are correct. I cannot get the BIOS to activate a bootable device. Could the BIOS be dead? Why doesn't the computer activate the DVD player when I chose it in F12? Why doesn't the DVD player load the files necessary to install a copy of windows 7? I have done hardware checks on all peripheral drives: HDD, SSD & DVD player are all working. All drives are recognized in the BIOS. The computer passes POST. My DVD of a bootable copy of windows was tested on my laptop and works. I am dumbfounded. I am on my second motherboard here. PLEASE HELP!

SOLUTION SOLVED!
OMG! I was using the burning software for my .ISO program wrong. I corrected it with my last DVD and whalla! VICTORY! It WAS the .iso with the issues.

Your processor? Because no installation for inter 6.7 generation.

The 560 uses INTEL G43 chipset ICH 10R and INTEL GMA 4500 Graphics.
Advanced format drives REQUIRE F6 drivers aka Which Means INTEL RST 9.6 minimum and RST 11.2 Max
All new drives will be 4k advanced format drives that are SSD or larger than 120 gigs.
ATA MODE IS NOT SUPPORTED WITH ADVANCED FORMAT DRIVES.
