Nonexistent customer service

I have purchase Dell computers for several years because they've always been good products. Recently I bought my wife a new computer. In January she started getting notices that there was a bios upgrade. When she did the upgrade it wiped out her computer. Been screwing around with customer service for almost 2 weeks now to no avail. 3 times theyve told us FedEx us picking up the computer. 3 times they lied. My wife missed 2 days of work, waiting.
At this point, I will probably never buy another Dell.

What model computer? There was a problem with a recent bios update for Inspiron 3847 and 3647. You should not need the computer picked up to solve this. That is not normal procedure. See this post--
