15 7000 Gaming laptop touchpad/keyboard shorting out

After a recent update it seems if I use my keyboard at all, my touchpad completely shorts out or just stops responding. The cursor will freeze up and I can't get it to move unless I restart the laptop. The buttons will still click and respond but the cursor won't respond to my using the touchpad. 

Is there a way to fix this?
