You can but need to order the Interposer. The forum post below has the information.
The part from the link to the other post isn't recognised on the Dell site or google!
Maybe its now discontinued?
is this the correct part?;
In the meantime i rang Dell sales and got put through to someone.
They told me to email them with what I need and have just got back a reply...
Turns out it's actually a company called upgrade, and the part will cost £25 +£10 delivery PLUS VAT!!!!
That's £42 all together!!!
Hopefully get a reply on here with an ebay alternative as £42 seems way too expensive!!
Slightly different question but related.
I would like to add the HDD but what is the spec. for the drive.
From what I can find:
What capacity size is supported by the 7560? 1TB, 2TB?
Would something like this work be supported?
Seagate 2 TB BarraCuda 2.5 Inch Internal Hard Drive (5400 RPM, 128 MB Cache, SATA 6Gb/s, Up to 140 MB/s, Model: ST2000LMZ15/LM015)
You are lucky. The cable and bracket are both there so all you need is an HDD or SSD and the screws to attach the bracket.
This chart from the 7560 support page. However Crucial offers and guarantees 100% compatibility with up to a 2 TB SSD. So the Seagate should work without a problem.
|Interface||SATA 6 Gbps|
|Hard drive||One 2.5-inch drive (SATA)|
|Solid-state drive||One M.2 drive (SATA)|
|Hard drive||Up to 1 TB|
|SSD||Up to 512 GB|
