7437 Keyboard issues after A13 BIOS upgrade. Downgrade fixes
For the benefit of others:
Updated BIOS on my Inspiron 7437 to A13, Keyboard issues immediately followed i.e. pressing "8" shows "0" can't turn backlight on/off.
Called DELL support, assured hardware issue and need new keyboard, said thought strange happened straight after BIOS upgrade but assured hardware.
Manually searched for previous BIOS version (as not available on website) "7437A12.exe" takes you to:
https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=cr6w3
Installed A12 version (ignored recommendation not to) and keyboard working fine again!
Thanks,
Alex

It kind of tells you to leave the BIOS alone. It can cause more issues.....long story short. :) "If it works, Why Fix it?" Nice you are back in business!

Alas, spoke too soon. Keyboard issue returned. Must have been pure coincidence it started working perfectly after BIOS downgrade. Just replaced keyboard (£29.99 from ebay) now all working fine
Thanks,
Alex

Right, this is getting ridiculous, having replaced keyboard worked fine for a few weeks then started again i.e. 8 showed 0. Consistently all the time.
Had just about given up, considering buying new laptop, then just re downgraded from A13 to A12 just now and keyboard immediately working again!!!
