Addlink M.2 PCle GEN3x4 SDD not being recongized?

So I recently bought the Addlink S68 M.2 PCle GEN3x4 SDD for my Inspiron 15 5000 however its not being reconigzed at all. I have done the following;

1. Ensured it is correctly fitted properly

2. Gone onto disk management to initialize the drive however its showing up at all not even as unallocated space

3. Gone onto BIOS and yet again its not being recnonigzed.

I have recently changed my HDD to a Seagate 500gb SSHD and did a clean installation of windows 10 with no problem, my laptop was able to detect the HDD but not the SDD? If anyone can give me other solutions on what to do that will be very helpful thank you

You can try that, but the system does support either SATA or NVMe, so the type should not matter.  You may do better with a first-tier SSD manufacturer (Samsung, Crucial/Micron, Intel, WD, etc.).

There is a whole range of models in the 5000 series, not all of which support NVMe drives.  In order to answer, you'll need to supply the model number -- 5579, 5321, etc.  On the setup screen (F2 at powerup) or on the system label on the base cover.

That's an Inspiron 5570, which does support NVMe.

Is this the only drive in the system?

I couldn't find anything on system information when I pressed F2 however on the base of my laptop the following says;

Reg Model - P75F

Reg Type No - P75001

51725/SDPPI/2017/5100

@EJ does any of this help? Thank you

Disconnect the hard drive and install just the SSD -- see if the system will see it in setup.  If it won't, the drive is either faulty or incompatible with the system.

If it does, note that on many systems, if you install an M.2 NVMe drive, it needs to be the boot device if it's alongside a hard drive.

@ejn63 no I put in a 500gb Seagate SSHD just 2 days ago and my laptop identified that no problem and was able to install windows clean, that's why I'm confused that it's not picking up the SSD.

Took out SSHD and installed SSD only cant enter setup page when pressing F2. I think I might return the NVmE SSD and attempt with a SATA SSD. You reckon it might make a difference?
