Battery Replacement for inspiron 5577
Hi, I have a Inspiron 15 laptop (5577). An error message saying my battery has experienced a permanent damage pops up whenever i turn on the pc. This has been occurring for around 3 months. Now i have noticed that even though everything runs fine, the lap gets heated up pretty quick.
I understand that its time to replace my battery. I would like to know if it is possible to get a 'dell verified' battery pack from a Dell service center. My lap is currently out of warranty and i want the replacement to be genuine.
i cant also find any battery replacement compatible with 5577 from dell website too. my battery is a 74Whr 6 Cell 11.1V pack.
can i take my lap and get the battery replaced from the dell service center?

You can't order internal batteries online, though you can call Dell and ask for Spare Parts to order one. If you're in the US, parts-people.com carries only OEM batteries as well:

Any computer shop can change a battery if you don't want to do it yourself.

dell said they are more producing battery for 5577 and other models that have the same battery anymore!
I had been trying to replace my battery for almost an year and they kept saying it is not currently available.
and now they are saying it stopped production!
Is there any way I can get it? 74 W 11.1 V battery
I didn't expect this from dell!

I purchased original Dell 74 W 11.4 V battery for my Inspiron 5577 in India on 22nd December 2022. The cost is around 50$. It's giving me 5 hours backup for normal usage. For heavy gaming it's 3 hours.

Hi Rohit, so can you please post a link to the purchase as I am unable o find 11.4 V battery online. My 5577 had 11.4 V preinstalled and thus I want 11.4 V itself but i am unable to get m hands on one. It would be helpful if you post purchase link to your battery. Thanks in advance.
