Bluetooth devices disconnect unexpectedly

Hello I am using a newly purchase Dell Inspiron 5482 2-in-1 laptop. I have a problem using Bluetooth devices (mouse, keyboard) - they stop working unexpectedly. only a reboot of the computer helps them work again. It happens even while using... for example I could be typing and all of a sudden - no more keyboard. same as with the mouse. I tried with few devices. those devices never had a similar problem with other Laptops. (been using them for about a year). what could be the source of this problem? how can I fix it? Thank you.

Welcome to the Dell Community  @alonmore28

The drivers for your Bluetooth have recent updates.

Since you did not specify which one you have here is both.

I am running the latest driver (12/8/2020) for Qualcomm QCA61x4A and continue to have issues with my Bluetooth headset disconnecting randomly. Very annoying especially during video conference calls.

I found kind of a workaround on my Inspiron 7391. My mouse was disconnecting every ten seconds or so.

- Go to Device Manager (Press Win+R then type "devmgmt.msc")

- Expand Bluetooth in the list. Right click on this item :

Then do "Uninstall driver". Finally, click there

to refresh the device list. It should reinstall the Bluetooth driver (that's what it does for me).

It works for one session, but as soon as I restart, my mouse disconnects again like before. It'd be great if Dell made a fix for this. I'm glad of my computer especially at its price, but this kind of issue really brings down the user experience.
