Bluetooth missing on Inspiron 15 (7547)
Maybe I shouldn't have messed around with updating drivers from Intel instead of Dell, but nonetheless here we are.
I have wireless (wifi) connectivity, but my bluetooth functionality is completely gone. Can anyone suggest a troubleshooting process?
I'm on windows 10 64-bit, and I thought I managed to roll back drivers, but bluetooth still seems to be disabled somewhere. There's no on/off switch in settings, no bluetooth category in Device Manager (even hidden)...I'm out of ideas.

1. Check the Intel I/O Driver and install the one from Dell for your particular notebook.
To get this information you need to log on to support, enter your model number and most importantly Enter your Service Tag Number.
That will open all the hardware information on your Particular notebook, in the download section, all the latest drivers for your particular notebook can be downloaded.
2. Install the BT driver from Dell for your particular notebook
3. If you still in warranty call tech support and they put you through the above and maybe some other changes
4. It possible that removing your Wi-F/BT card and Reseating it will help
Pretty easy to do download your Service manual the same support page and you'll see how to do this.
5. Use some Imaging software to create a full disk/SSD Image or you OS Drive. I say this as if you haven't solved your issue by this point. Support will probably try to get you to Reset or Reinstall windows. I recommend Macrium Reflect Free for this purpose. How to use Macrium Reflect Tutorial
6. If Reset or Reinstall do not solve your issue. Your issue is hardware. Meaning you need to change out hour Wi-FI/BT card They are cheap on Amazon and you have already had yours out and back in so you know how. Sure enough, you can at this point send your notebook to the Repair center and dell will replace your card. But the cards are less than $20 and Amazon will ship it quickly.
7. You should probably do 5. first, as anything can happen trying to uninstall drivers and reinstalling them. A good Disk/SSD image can be restored in 15 or 20 minutes and will bail you out of just about anything including viruses and Malware failed Disk/SSD, screwed up the system after a WU

Thanks...didn't need to be that extreme. The simple driver install didn't help, but flashing the bios did.

Reinstalling Dell drivers only didn't work. Somewhere in the process it had been disabled in a way Windows didn't seem to be able to get to.
A while after posting this, I decided to start running through the bios, chipset, etc drivers from Dell support and lo and behold flashing the bios (even with the same version it already had) seemed to reset the bluetooth so that Windows could drive it again.

1. Click the "Network" icon in the lower right corner of the desktop, and click the "View Connection Type" button from the pop-up "Network" interface to enter. In the "Network" setting interface that opens, switch to the "Airplane Mode" tab and find "Bluetooth" on the right to turn it on. 2. Enter the "Network and Sharing Center" interface through the "Control Panel", right-click the "Bluetooth Network Connection" icon, and select "View Bluetooth Network Device" from the right-click menu to open it. Can choose to disable / enable, shut down and restart
