I have a Dell 3521 laptop. I have now got fiber and bought a router D-link COVR 2200 (recommended by my IP). However, I feel that the performance of the router and the network card Dell wireless 1704 802.11.b / g / n (2.4 Ghz) does not match. I would therefore like to replace the network card with something else, preferably a USB adapter. Grateful for suggestions! K.r. /hans peter

You would need to "Disable" the 1704 in Device Manager.
A very nice high end router. The following USB adapters should work nicely. They are both similar but the Edimax supports Wave 2 which your router has. But both would give excellent performance. I have the Asus in an older Latitude and it works flawlessly.
Now I have installed my new WiFi adapter DWA-182 and inactivated the original one in the Device Manager. But my disappointment was great when I got a similar result as with the original one. 15 Mbps, when I have 225 Mbps on the mobile with the corresponding measurement app. There is something else wrong between my router and my computer. The question is just what? Anyone who has an idea?
