Color Changing Line on Screen
Hi,
I'm A user Dell inspiron 155567.
My computer screen has a color changing (white and green) line for a long time. The line covers the entire screen horizontally, and a single pixel vertically , when connect a 2nd screen to the computer, the line does not appear.
I think the problem is not the GPU, but I could not understand whether it is due to the screen or the cable.
I would be very happy if someone could help.

Run a screen diagnostic (hold D through powerup). If the fault shows on the test screens, replace the display panel.
If it does not, the fault is elsewhere (cable, GPU).

Intermittent issues are always difficult to diagnose. First suggestion would be to contact Dell Tech Support and troubleshoot with them. If you don't want to do that or are out of warranty, you may wish to either purchase a Tech Support through our Out of Warranty department, or contact a local computer repair shop.
But with that being said, does this occur only on battery, or does it happen while on AC power? Since it is so intermittent, it may be more of a hardware issue rather than a driver issue. Could have knocked one of the circuits loose when the "minor fall" occurred.
