Compatibility issue Dell Inspiron 5567 - Samsung 860 Pro SSD
Hello! Anyone had troubble with the Inspiron 5567 and the Samsung 860 Pro SSD? TRied today to replace the HDD on my notebook today with this SSD and after the jnstall, the SSD doesn't get recognised in BIOS or anywhere else. Any suggestions? The interfface is Sata 3 on both HDD and SSD. Thanks's. Ps: i updated the bios to the last version after i tried installing the SSD. Should this be the problem?

Do you have another system you can try installing the SSD into (or a SATA to USB adapter) just to verify that the SSD actually works? Have you tried removing and reseating the SSD in the bay/slot? There’s no reason that SSD shouldn’t work in that system.

When you say it doesn't work? Does the bios not recognize it, or you cannot use it even though bios recognizes it. You would have to check to see if the bios simply does not recognize it because of secure boot be enabled. Some times too the drive isn't formatted correctly.

I too have the inspiron 15 5567
And want to buy a
Samsung 860 Pro
But I'm not sure it will physically fit :
As I read that it is a 10mm drive but the bay only accepts 7mm?
Ant advice greatly appreciated thanks
