DELL 5570 -Thermal and Power Configuration Package

There is a new update :

I installed it but don't see any difference or option or application.

Can someone explain me what is this all about ?

The file "For-DUP-test_FRPN3_Win64_38.5_A00.EXE" installed without any problem. My Inspiron 7570 is listed being a compatible system. Any idea which certain devices would be incompatible?

I asked Dell about this but they were like it is out of support. My system is not compatible with it.

Hi,

Anyways for the people to which the driver got installed was there any improvement?

Today the package has been renamed into "Intel Processor Power Management Utility". I hope that DELL Support can explain how this utility can be installed, be uninstalled and should be used. And also why both our compatible systems appear to be incompatible at installation time.

Do not think dell will reply I told Dell-cares to reply to this post and they said sure but they didn't since three days. Never think about them replying I think so they will make the pc worser. THANKS for seeing my works.

Inspiron models 5570 and 7580, and maybe others as well, have been removed from the list of compatible systems for this package. In my opinon DELL is still not quite sure what the package actually does and for which systems it can be used. Confusing. I am in contact with DELL too, in the hope for some further clarifying information.

I can confirm that also for my G5 5590 laptop, this driver was added then removed and now it's been renamed to "Intel Processor Power Management Utility". I haven't tried installing it though; actually my system is on the supported systems list but the driver is not marked as targeted to "This PC" in my laptop's service page (I've entered the service tag).

Definitely some weird behaviour from Dell.

The release date of the package has been updated to Dec, 17th 2021, the the file has been renamed into "Intel-Processor-Power-Management-Utility_39KKN_WIN64_38.5_A00.EXE" and there is now a prior version of the package being "38.5, A00 10 dec. 2020".
I will download the "new" file and see whether it will install.
