Damaged power adapter but working? Is it covered?

Hello, I got my laptop a few months ago, I noticed a week or so after receiving it that the rubber under the LED part of the power adapter looked slightly rolled back. I didn't think much of it since I didn't really see a problem with it. But as time has gone on, it's been getting worst, getting more "rolled back". I noticed last week that I could see that the wires are slightly exposed. The power adapter works at charging my laptop but I'm afraid that it might not last long if the wires are slightly exposed (may even get worst as time goes on). I still have my warranty since it hasn't been a year yet that I've had my laptop. If my warranty covers it, I do want to do something about it before it ends. My question is, will it cover it if the power adapter works but it's damaged? Thank you. Here's some pictures of it: https://photos.app.goo.gl/7BKnaNqgH1Md4qTr6 https://photos.app.goo.gl/vn3t7r2hCkQbGEMD8

Hi DreamersKingdom,

Thanks for posting.  Apologies that your power adapter is not performing as expected.

It's difficult to see from these pictures as to how the plug is being removed from the device.  Is it being pulled by the wires or is the user grasping it by the hard plastic barrel closest to the computer?

If the system is under warranty, please contact me privately. Be sure to include your personal information (name, address, telephone, email) and your computer's service tag number in your message. Thanks.

If it's not covered by the warranty, then you could contact our Out of Warranty team to get a quote for a paid service call.
