Dell Inspiron 15 7000

Hello everyone,, My dell Inspiron has recently stopped working. The charger works fine but once I plug it into the laptop, the charger shuts off. It’s not a problem with the battery because the laptop won’t run when it is plugged in without the battery. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it? Thanks!
