I currently own a Dell 17-7779 that has a 1 TB hard drive that is going to fail soon based on the Dell SupportAssist tests that I have run. I would like to replace the hard drive with a fresh 1 TB SSD, and then redownload all of my software and cloud files. My only problem is that I have never bought an SSD so I am unsure if the one I am looking at will fit and work in this laptop. The SSD I am looking at can be found in this link (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078DPCY3T/ref=s9u_wsim_gw_i1?ie=UTF8&fpl=fresh&pd_rd_i=B0781Z7Y3S...).
Will this hard drive work and fit in my computer? If I am reading the specs right then I can use either a 2.5" or an M.2 with SATAIII. I have also heard the term form factor used, but have not found it specified in the spec manual. Is this something I need to account for and does the above SSD fit the requirements?
Thanks for any help that you can provide.

Does the model support M.2 PCIe or only M.2 SATA?
