Dell Inspiron 3521 BIOS everything grayed out.

I can't understand, I wanna change my SATA emulate to AHCI but everything is grayed out, even the admin password too, There is only system pass and HDD pass, and there is no one of them.

So how to fix that??????

It sounds like the system has an administrator password on it - have you owned it since new, or was it purchased used?

If it was purchased used, you'll need to reach out to the seller - if they can't provide the password, return the system for a refund.

Remove the hard drive and system passwords - can you then access the SATA mode?

First thing to do is make sure you have a backup of the data on the drive.

Then power off, remove or disconnect the main battery and hold the power button for 30 sec.  Reconnect the battery and powerup again.  Re-check the settings.
