Dell Inspiron 5570 M.2 NVMe SSD speed update?

Hello, I have read elsewhere that the Inspiron series support only GT2 (power saving mode), and not GT4,
even though they do have 4 lanes ("x4), therefore SSD reading speed is still limited to 1800 MB/s instead of 3400 MB/s.

So, what type of NVMe SSD would you recommend as a boot drive for the Inspiron 5570?
I just got one with i7-8550U CPU but it came with a slow 1TB 5,400 RPM HD.
I was going to add either a Samsung 970 EVO 250 GB or a XPG SX8200 240 GB. Is either a better choice, or are they overkill anyway considering the current GT2 limitation?
Also, I've seen another thread where someone mentioned that DELL support said they were going to improve this in a future BIOS update (current BIOS is 1.1.9). Is that realistic?

Still I would go for a GT4 drive because nowadays the price difference between the GT4 or GT2 SSD's is not that big anymore (~10 Euro/Dollar) and still there is a (very very very) little change that Dell will update the PCIe interface to GT4.

P.S. to make your choice a little bit easier, compare:
- Total Bytes Written (TBW)
- Random 4K, QD32 (IOPS)
- Warranty
- Encryption!

P.P.S. If you find a good SSD GT2 offer, buy that one!
