Dell Inspiron 7720 recovery F8 not working
I have a blue screen that says recovery, PC needs to be repaired, with the following message:
File:\windows\system32\config\system
Error Code: 0xc000014c
F8 is not working, just brings me back to the same screen.
i have run the Pre boot system Assessment, and all good. I have tried all the tips out there to get F8 to work and no luck.
Any ideas please!!

Have a look at the following links. Also I assume you ran diagnostics with F12 at the Dell splash screen? If so did the hard drive pass the test?

Yes, I ran the thorough test mode and everything passed. At first the memory failed, but I moved around the two chips, ran the test twice with each one being the sole chip in and they both passed. Put them both back in and it passed.
I am exploring your links but I am at a loss...
