Dell XPS 13 9365 Freezes at Dell Logo on first boot every time, then boots fine after powering off and on.
Hello, this has been going on for several weeks - possibly after a bios update - but I'm not 100% sure. I am on the latest BIOS version.
Everytime I boot up this laptop the FIRST time, it freezes at the DELL logo. I never get the spinning thing underneath that shows it's booting windows.
I have to hold the power button down to turn it off. Then hit the power button again to turn it on, and it boots fine the second time.
This happens EVERY time.
Any solutions out there for this? Thanks so much for any help! This laptop has been great, but this is becoming an inconvenience - and I'm worried it's a sign of a deeper problem.
Thank you!
Dan

Check if your BIOS is the same version as shows in this link https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/DriversDetails?productCode=xps-13-9365-2-in-1-laptop&driverId=49CRH
If your system can boot to Windows try updating it to latest version.

Thanks for the response! Yes, I'm running 2.6.2 BIOS... I updated it in early May in hopes it would fix the issue. :)
Let me know if any other ideas...
Thanks,
Dan

Hi U2! Thanks for the response...I fully updated everything through SupportAssist last night.
Chipset Driver, Management Engine, Dynamic Platform/Thermal Framework all at latest versions.
BIOS Is the latest as well... 2.6.2.
If warm and cold rebooted several times. Always, the FIRST time I boot the computer - DELL LOGO freeze. Hold down power to shut down... hit power again to turn on, and it boots fine. It's just that FIRST time.
Let me know...thanks!
