Dell inspiron 1525 won't start without charger.

Question

Laptop wont start without the power cable and turns off when power cable is removed, battery is relatively new, around 6 months or a year.

Is the battery a genuine Dell battery? Also run diagnostics to find out if the battery health is OK. Restart the system and at the Dell splash screen start tapping F12. Run full diagnostics paying attention to the adapter and battery results.

The battery is not a dell battery, and the battery health is bios setup shows healthy. Haven't run diagnostics yet, I'll update after running diagnostics.
