Does Inspiron 7560 i5-7200U have an empty (pcie) SSD slot?

The Dell Inspiron 7000 series , especially Inspiron 7560 i7 models have an additional 128 GB (pcie) SSD apart from the regular HDD. I own an Inspiron 7560 i5-7200U @ 2.50GHz.

Can any employee please confirm if the Inspiron i5-7200U 2.50GHz has an empty slot for an SSD that i can purchase and insert in addition to the default HDD.

This model does have an M.2 slot for a 2280 SSD but it's SATA-only.  You can use a SATA 2280 drive but you cannot use an NVMe/PCIe M.2 SSD.

Later model 7000 series systems can take either SATA or PCIe/NVMe -- this one cannot.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. I know i can Google, but do you have any recommendations(m.2 sata 2280) on which on should i get and if possible what is the main difference between the pcie nvme variant and the sata variant?

Samsung is the front-runner in SSDs, but Crucial, Sandisk/WD, and others make solid drives.

The main difference is speed - SATA will give you up 600 meg/sec;  NVMe, about 3500.

Yes, that is the correct type for the 7560.

On Dell Inspiron 7560 can i replace my HDD with

SanDisk SSD PLUS 1TB Internal SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s, 2.5"/7mm, Up to 535 MB/s - SDSSDA-1T00-G26

If yes do I need to buy any cables as well?
