G3 (3579) Battery problem/usage ?
Hello
I use this laptop mainly on mains under Ubuntu (sold that way) and on battery about once or twice a day but without draining the battery completely.
Now, the battery is around 78 % lifespan (the upower utility reports : energy-full-design: 55,9968 Wh and energy-full: 41,876 Wh ) and the laptop is a little more than a year old.
I previously used a Lenovo E540 Thinkpad (for 5 years, same OS, same usage) and the battery is stll at 100 %, because Lenovo provided a utility to re-calibrate the battery (you mainly run it on battery until exhausted, and then, do a full charge). I know that the Lenovo has a different 6 cells 18650 battery and the Dell is a 4 cells flat design so different technology, but I wonder if I can regain some capacity or resolve to have a dead battery in a year or so ?
What do you think ? Do you have a method to regain capacity ?
Thanks for your help and stays safe, stay indoor !
