You have 2 SODIMM slots that can have 4, 8, and 16 GB per slot. So per the specs 4, 8, 12, 16, and 32 GB total but not 24. That does not mean 24 will not work but since Dell does not specify it as compatible, it may work or it may not and you will either get BSODs or not booting at all or it might work but that is the chance you take.
