Inspiron 1464 not working with ssd

Hi everyone. I tried to install a ssd drive un my inspiron 1464 but it doesn't boot. (The drive is working becouse in another notebook works). I changed the drive type in the bios to ATA but still it doesnt work. The drive is a samsung evo 250gb. There is any update or something that i should do to have this working?( i have updated the bios). There is a compatibility issue? Thanks
