4TB ssd is possible.

HOWEVER

F6 mass storage drivers are required to "see" the drive.

@Marz77

Yes 4TB SSD's have been available for sometime now.

If you want to spend $600 - $1000+

This one is $200 less than the one on Amazon.

Shop around before you purchase.

@Marz77

If you look at the specification for the "Storage" it says:

Solid-state drive Up to 256 GB

Inspiron 15 3000 Setup and Specifications:

https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/us/en/04/inspiron-15-3576-laptop/inspiron15-3576_ss/storage?guid=guid-e97a8b60-141e-481a-ab69-96ab7b65b544&lang=en-us

That is what Dell sold and test for your model.

That is what they can only recommend.

Inspiron 15-3576 Service Manual:

@U2CAMEB4ME  what I’m confused about is that a tech @ Dell told me I could only replace it with a 256gb ssd, I didn’t think it would be an issue putting the same size drive in.

Prices for 7mm drives are very reasonable now.

I still tend to recommend the SAMSUNG versions however.

OCZ’s SSD DRIVES ARE never recommended. Toshiba purchased them when they went bankrupt. So I would be leary of getting anything from them.

Replacing the drive is not trivial and you must be CAREFUL with the flex cables and connectors.

Drive is mounted in a tray 7MMDrive is mounted in a tray 7MM
