Inspiron 15 5567 will not power on

Laptop is less than 18 months old. Power button illuminates for a couple of seconds, then goes out. No beeps. Same behaviour with and without the power-cord plugged. I did manage to get it to power on once, using the Shift "D" and power on button. I got it as far as the Windows 10 event viewer window, before it blue screened with kmode_exception_not_handled Been unable to power on since. Tried all the "usual" key sequences F2, F12 etc. Any pointers would be much appreciated. Thanks Ciaran

Same problem with my 20 month old (Inspiron 15 5567 will not power on).

Generic instructions led nowhere...

Hi GMoose,

Thanks for posting.  If you've tried all the troubleshooting in the above articles, then there is a possibility that the motherboard has failed.
