Inspiron 15 7000 can't play video and cracling sound
I bought this laptop in good faith in Dell Company thinking I have a decent machine, especially for video and was terrified when I saw the first symptoms of the problem. After a couple of weeks while playing video it started flickering green, sound started to crackle. I would restart only to find after a couple of videos played it would come again. Then it came to the point now when it just freezes and stops, or when it still can play it has a terrible crackling sound. So frustrating, now I am left with $800 laptop not being able to play online video in a year 2018.
Unreal... Is there anyone who could help me with this, I would be so thankful

Well, it seems that this worked. I have found this solution from YouTube. It worked for an hour almost, I hope it stays like that.

Hi unijabass,
Thanks for posting. Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.
Issues such as you are describing could be from a variety of sources, hardware or software. Please check to see that the hardware is performing as designed by running a systems diagnostics. You can run diagnostics by pressing F12 at startup or by Dell Support Assist.
Run the diagnostics, then post back. If there are no errors, then look to the software and troubleshoot it. What program are you using to view the videos? Does this happen with all videos or just one? Does it happen when viewing movies or just video files?
Also, send me a Private Message and provide your system service tag number as well as your name, address, phone number and email address for further support assistance if it is needed.

Thank you for replying to my post.
I did run the diagnostic hardware test and it passed.
I have trouble playing online videos from you tube, facebook, or random web sites.
After restart it works fine for a couple of videos, but then it occurs again.

@robert p
This is a driver problem .... Dell has a lot of trouble with this ... When will you fix it? Mr. Robert, you hear about this problem for the first time? Strange...

It might be helpful to know which 15 7000 you have, 7567 or 7577 or what...?
Since the problem seems to involve stre+aming audio/video, have you verified your network connection speed and reliability? I use the + because this site bleeps some normal words for some reason...

Hi, thank you for your reply.
It seems that this is a known problem and one that don't get resolved.
Not to be able to watch online videos on gaming laptop-priceless.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I have Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming. Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7300HQ CPU @ 2.50GHZ
My connection here is excellent, no problem with my 10 year old Vaio whatsoever.
I have to restart every 2-3 videos and than the sound crackles first and it is done.
To think I bought this to upgrade from my old machine and to reach for old laptop instead for a new one makes me so mad

hi my friend. I have the same problem. when I watch anything or when I play games include when I was writing that comment the laptop freezes for a while then everything becomes normal and I recognized that this freezes happened in every 15 or 30 min. I tried many solutions but they didn't work as I expected. I hope you solved your issue and you might help me.
