Inspiron 15 7577 Short Bluetooth Range

The bluetooth on this computer works and can connect to bluetooth devices but the range is less than 2 feet and often the sound cuts in and out or heavily lags or doesn't even play at all, there's no pattern to it. Not sure if this is a software or hardware issue but I've updated drivers and settings and what not but cant seem to find any solution. pls help
