Inspiron 3542, not compatible with Windows 11

I read about Windows 11 and its giving free upgrade to Windows 10 users. That was the good news for all existing Window users. But on their website they give list of compatible hardware and configurations. While checking that details I found that there is 4th Generation Intel Core i5-4210U processor (3M Cache, up to 2.7 GHz) in my system and Microsoft says that this system is not compatible for Windows 11. What will the solution be for this issue? Or do I need to change my laptop, which is in still in excellent working condition, since last 6-7 years. And in this pandemic situation its impossible to spend the money for the new system.

TPM in this case is immaterial. You have a pre Generation 8 CPU so your CPU is not going to be supported by Windows 11.

I have inspiron 3542 i5, but while upgrading windows 11 it's not supporting due to tpm 2.0. Is there any option for it? or I need to buy a new laptop?

Hi I am savithu

I am also using Windows 11. Your laptop or desktop is to old to get windows 11. If your laptop or computer works good you can use Windows 10 or you can buy a new one.

If your pc is capable with Windows 11 you will get windows 11 as a normal Windows update.
