Inspiron 3582, Aptio BIOS, cannot boot to DVD?

I just bought my Inspiron 15 3000. I want to set the boot order to DVD first. It has the Aptio setup utility, but mine does not correspond to any of those in the solutions I have found,  Can anyone help to change the boot order in this particular Aptio setup. The first pix comes up with F12, but you can only enable or disable the boot manager; no other drives appear. I think I have tried the obvious?IMG_0922.JPGIMG_0923.JPGIMG_0924.JPGIMG_0927.JPGIMG_0928.JPG

Turns out the answer is very simple!  Insert the bootable CD/DVD in the optical (CD) drive. Restart the computer. Hit F12. Click on the optical drive that appears. The trick (how many hours did I spend on this) is to have the bootable CD/DVD in the drive when you start up. Hope this helps someone else.

Alas, this is not the BIOS I have. Mine is the Aptio (see the accompanying screen shots) Thanks for trying.

I am not sure if it is possible to do any Legacy boot (DVD) if Secure Boot is turned on. Which is why they are greyed out in your menu. You would have to start over, by turning Secure Boot off, then installing the operating system clean on the drive. A whole lot of work.

Chris, that can’t be right. The Knowledge Base entry above specifically says to disable Secure Boot so that an optical drive boot option can be added – without having to reinstall the OS. It just doesn’t give instructions for doing so in the Aptio BIOS, which I too have. I’ve been trying to find the answer to the same question (in vain so far) for my XPS 8920.

I am not sure, Chris, what you are saying. I managed to change the boot order on my new Dell desktop a year ago, and my 10 year old Dell. I want to be able to install Linux from a DVD and have another dual boot system. Surely the BIOS can accommodate such a simple request?  Much of the answer seems to be in the YouTube video:
