Inspiron 5000 series parts
I would like to know if anyone can let me know if internal parts from an Inspiron model 5100 are compatible with other 5000 series models...I am needing to find the ribbon for the hard drive and am only finding ones for say, a 5558 model of the 5000 Inspiron series. Thanks in advance.

Do you need a hard drive cable? What is the specific model, I should be able to help you find

The hard drive was removed. The laptop was not recognizing it. It works fine. The hard drive ribbon is suspect. I wanted to replace it to see if that would fix this. That's why I asked the original question of if I can use the hard drive ribbon for another model of Inspiron 15 5000 Series. My laptop is a 5100 model. It runs Windows 10 though I doubt that's relevant. Another thing, all the fixes out there that don't involve opening up the laptop were tried before this. Also, I posted a picture of the bottom of my laptop. I'm not sure if anyone can view it.
