Inspiron 5406 2n1 start up automaticlly when openning the lid

Hi guys,

I bought the computer a week ago and I have no idea why the laptop is start up when I open the lid right away without me pressing the power buttom.

I look everywhere on google, I tired every solution, but it keeps happenning

its not the Windows Fast Start-up (its disabled), I update every update it asked me.

why is going on? is it the BIOS or something? I don't want to touch anything on the BIOS settings or the regedit

Welcome to the Dell Community @Tomson1986

Sorry but it is a BIOS setting!!!

Power On Lid Open Enables the computer to power up from the off state whenever the lid is opened.

Default: ON

You would need to go into the BIOS to turn it OFF.

"System setup options—Power menu"
