Inspiron 5480 Maximum RAM & SSD

Does anyone know what is the maximum amount of RAM supported by Inspiron 5480 (8th gen i3 model)? And does it has a slot for SSD?

Hello U2CAMEB4ME,

First of all thanks for answering my question mate. I would also like to know if my laptop can support the following ram modules listed below. Also there are people saying that corsair vengeance ram is not supported by i3 laptops(it will bottleneck), it works flawlessly with i7 laptops is that true ?. Also crucial ram is ranked as the most reliable ram to get but it not the fastest when compared to corsair vengeance and hyperx is what said by the people. I would like to get a 16 GB DDR4 module which works amazingly basically a performance ram since i want to use some adobe products and it consumes more ram. I will get one 16 GB module this year and another one next year. So which ram is best HyperX, Vengeance or Ripjaws ?

Corsair (too much pricey)

HyperX https://www.amazon.in/HyperX-Kingston-Technology-2400MHz-260-Pin/dp/B01BNJL8K2?tag=googinhydr18418-21&gclid=Cj0KCQjwjrvpBRC0ARIsAFrFuV_ZCqoGDW4M976heVwELwzujmK2eaepWDVF4AmVXT6P_mOKCZBBImUaAv5BEALw_wcB

RipJaws https://www.amazon.in/G-SKILL-Ripjaws-260-Pin-SO-DIMM-F4-2400C16S-16GRS/dp/B017UC3UFC/ref=pd_sbs_147_5/262-2228925-2585041?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B017UC3UFC&pd_rd_r=6d702780-a899-11e9-90f6-27a905ab8b42&pd_rd_w=gfp3Q&pd_rd_wg=JmcuG&pf_rd_p=87667aae-831c-4952-ab47-0ae2a4d747da&pf_rd_r=ZMF5A191RNQTMW4A9HDE&psc=1&refRID=ZMF5A191RNQTMW4A9HDE

Yours thanksfully

Hi,

Can I use 2400Mhz RAM instead of 2666Mhz in my Inspiron 5480.

Thanks,

Thanks for your quick reply.

I am using 4GB DDR4 2666Mhz Samsung "m471a5244cb0-ctd" in my Dell Inspiron 5480. Can I buy 8GB DDR4 2400Mhz. Will it work efficiently or should I buy a 4GB one, which one better to use with my current one.
